Trans Day of Visibility reflections and resources

Tejal’s Reflection from BIPOC Community Centered Restorative Yoga practice honoring trans gender, gender non-conforming, TGNCI2S+ community

Powerful and Deep, the stillness and darkness from our BIPOC rest practice with Rebby Kern was potent. How often and why do we shy away from darkness to default back the binary thinking, that lightness/light is good. How then does that binary thinking inform other decision making? I'm still pondering and I'm so grateful. Thank you @rebbykern

Rebby shared with me their latest pondering: What kind of dreaming takes places in the darkness?

Guest Teacher Rebby Kern’s reflections

"Particularly as we think about Women's History Month and Transgender Day of Visibility, I am grateful to share space @tejalyoga—a space where I can bring my full self: I'm a biracial, light skinned, non-binary queer person. I'm hard of hearing. I'm an adult orphan, and navigating this world with lots of intersections.

I find myself grappling with some unlearning around darkness and perspectives of fear from darkness, of grief and darkness; perspectives of binaries of good and bad and right and wrong, lightness and darkness. I'm sitting with a non-binary approach to actually reflect on what is birthed, created, and restored out of and in between darkness."
